Our History

What began as a passion to build a superior pool has become one of the largest and most recognized pool builders in the Midwestern United States. Barrington Pools was founded in 1973, and in those early years, a small team, working long hours and putting in a lot of sweat, helped create a reputation of building some of the most durable and beautiful pools in the country.

Our passion for quality was recognized with an invitation to join the Master Pools Guild in 19xx, the only pool builder in Illinois in its membership. The Master Pools Guild, an invitation-only group, is the go-to global network of swimming pool builders, bringing together the most talented companies in outdoor living under the unified values of trust, integrity, collaboration, and a family spirit.

Barrington Pools’ commitment to quality craftsmanship is evident in every project we undertake. We pride ourselves on using only the highest quality materials and employing skilled craftsmen who bring years of experience to their trade. From the sale and design, to excavation and plumbing to electrical work and finishing touches, every step of the construction process is executed with precision and meticulous attention to detail with Barrington Pools employees.

Now, after more than 50 years and 3 generations, we remain family-owned with the same passion for quality and craftsmanship in each of our projects throughout the Chicago area and Southern Wisconsin.
